NOTE TO ALL STUDENTS AND PARENTS/CO-DRIVERS
ICBC recommends an Examinee has 60 hours of driving experience before they attempt a road test. Lessons are a part of those 60 hours, but extra practice is needed outside of lessons from either a parent, friend or family member. (Co-driver must hold a valid Class 5 Licence and be 25 years old or older) This time in the seat is an important part of becoming a safe, confident and competent driver. Think of it as no different than a university student. You would not expect to pass a university level exam without studying, right? Just the same, it is rare that a student will pass a road test the first time if they are not well prepared. Practice time involves being in the downtown core of Prince George, turns at major intersections, lane changes in heavier traffic etc. Driving to and from school or work or to the corner store down the street is not sufficient.
